Tips on identifying which season of life you are in.



Similar to the changing weather seasons our lives can change from one season to another from time to time. Recognizing these seasons and implementing the appropriate type of action steps is key to obtaining maximum growth and maintaining peace no matter what curve balls life throws at you.
Here in the U.S. Fall is typically a cooler time of year and a time that preparations are made for the upcoming Winter. If we look at patterns in our lives and have been continuously repeating the same obstacles and trying to use the same tools with no positive results. Then maybe we should try something new! It maybe time to invest in learning new strategies. 
Winter, is often look at as a time of bareness. All the leaves have fallen and the grass is brown or gone. However, since we just took the time in Fall to prepare we can now use Winter as a time to place our focus inward, to evaluate and to heal. As busy ladies it's easy to get wrapped up with obligations and caring so much for others that we for get to look inside and provide ourselves the care we need.
 Invest in SELF-CARE
As we transition from Summer to Fall and then to Winter let's take the opportunity to identify areas that we can be benefit from looking within and focusing our energies on healing and personal growth.

From my heart... Being a mental health professional I hear people talk about depression and mental illness all day everyday. I read the statistics and reports about the "system" failing individuals quite frequently, But, when tragedy hits close to home it can be a LOUD  wake-up call! It's hard for me to understand the fact that mental illness is still a taboo thing. I personally don't understand why it's not a more discussed topic, why there aren't enough resources and access to treatment. Here in the US we have option after option for physical healthcare. If you don't like a physician for whatever reason all you have to do is walk across the hall or drive across the street and there are at least 10 more for the choosing. Why aren't there just as many easy options for mental healthcare treatment?  These day there is a checklist for "warning signs" for every ailment out there and I want to be sure that depression warning signs are top of mind...
